The Lucetta laboratory is where we test and measure our designs and our progress. Our in-house engineering staff takes field-born ideas from concepts to mockups, and from prototypes to reality. X-TIR™ Linear Optics Technology

Lucetta’s new patented X-TIR™ technology is the first application of true linear TIR optics in low voltage lighting. This revolutionary design marries the most compelling aspects of TIR and reflective optics to create a high-performance, compact, cost-effective linear optic that far exceeds the performance of other linear grazing systems.

The result is a beam with an exceptional aesthetic, delivered from a physically compact fixture. The lens design creates a clean, well-defined beam by collimating the light immediately after it leaves the light engine, which also increases overall efficiency of the fixture. Virgin acrylic compound allows for peak optical properties while maintaining ductility and reducing fixture fragility.

Encapsulation

Lighting applications don’t stop when conditions change. Lucetta’s encapsulation technology protects linear light against water, sun, heat, and chemicals without shifting the light color or affecting its quality. For the first time, designers can mix and match dry, damp, and wet locations without limitation and while maintaining consistency in their design. Harsh environments, from high heat saunas to deep cold exteriors, are all fair game in design.
